Newly admitted Heidelberg University students with non-German educational qualifications who are about to start one of these degree programmes:

• Medicine
• Dentistry
• Pharmacy
• Biology
• Biochemistry
• Biosciences
• Molecular biotechnology.

The BioMed-Kolleg kompakt is an offer of the International Study Centre of Heidelberg University especially for newly admitted first-year students with foreign educational qualifications.

This intensive course of 80 lessons (80 x 45 minutes) offers you targeted and comprehensive preparation for the thematic and linguistic language challenges of your degree programme directly before your start of studies. With us, you can

• refresh and expand your subject-specific and language skills in the fields of biology, chemistry and physics, including the necessary mathematics
• train crucial methodological skills for your studies - e.g. how presentations are prepared efficiently and given in an easy-to-grasp way using modern media
• prepare for the requirements of the physics, chemistry, and biology practical courses through selected experiments/topics.

At the same time, you can familiarize yourself with Heidelberg University before day one of your degree programme.

Course duration
Usually four weeks in September before the start of the winter semester.

End: Friday, 27 September

Lesson times
Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00, sometimes also in the afternoon

The course fee is € 300.00 and must be paid in full at the start of the course.
